Replacement QB Kyle Allen struggles as Texas A&M holds off UL-Monroe

"Freshman Kyle Allen threw for 106 yards and a touchdown in his first career start and Texas A&M held on for a 21-16 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday.Allen, who had two turnovers, started in place of Kenny Hill, who was suspended for two games for violating team rules and athletic department polices. The suspension was announced about an hour before the game."

Florida runs wild over No. 9 Georgia 38-20

"Matt Jones and Kelvin Taylor combined for 389 yards rushing and four touchdowns and Florida upset ninth-ranked Georgia 38-20 Saturday, ending a three-game losing streak in the series and quite possibly saving coach Will Muschamp’s job.Jones ran 25 times for 197 yards and two touchdowns. Taylor carried 25 times for 192 yards and two scores."

Missouri beats Kentucky 20-10

"Maty Mauk completed 18 of 33 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns — both to Bud Sasser — to lead Missouri past Kentucky in a 20-10 win Saturday.Mauk added another 75 yards on the ground, picking up four first downs, and completed 10 consecutive passes in the first half, including a 26-yard toss to a streaking Sasser in the end zone over defender J.D. Harmon.Sasser also hauled in a 3-yard toss for a TD and finished with six catches for 67 yards. Andrew Baggett kicked 41- and 21-yard field goals."

Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell’s injury, fumble seal Auburn win

"Cassanova McKinzy recovered a fumble in the end zone to preserve No. 4 Auburn’s 35-31 victory over No. 7 Mississippi on Saturday night in what amounted to the first College Football Playoff knockout game.The Tigers (7-1, 4-1 Southeastern Conference, No. 3 CFP) got a reprieve after Rebels receiver Laquon Treadwell lost the ball at the end of a tackle-breaking catch-and-run to the end zone with 1:30 left. It was ruled a touchdown, but the replay official determined that he lost the ball before crossing the goal line."

Dak Prescott throws a career-high 331 yards to lead No. 1 MSU

"Dak Prescott threw for a career-high 331 yards and a touchdown to help No. 1 Mississippi State beat Arkansas 17-10 on Saturday night.Mississippi State (8-0, 5-0 Southeastern Conference, No. 1 CFP) trailed until the third quarter and didn’t take the lead until Prescott’s 69-yard touchdown pass to a wide open Fred Ross made it 17-10 with 13:21 remaining."

Tennessee miracle: Vols rally for 45-42 OT win

"Joshua Dobbs threw a 9-yard pass to Jason Croom with 11 seconds left to tie the game at 42 before Aaron Medley’s 32-yard field goal in overtime lifted Tennessee to its first Southeastern Conference win 45-42 over South Carolina on Saturday night.The Vols (4-5, 1-4 SEC) trailed 42-28 with 4:52 remaining after Brandon Wilds’ 70-yard scoring run. But the Gamecocks struggling defense, which gave up double-digit, fourth-quarter leads in losses to Missouri and Kentucky, did it again."

Vanderbilt beats Ole Dominion, 42-28
