A guide to the big city of Birmingham for Auburn fans traveling to the Birmingham Bowl.
ICYMI: The 30 greatest games in Alabama history.
So you’re an Auburn fan headed to the big city for the Birmingham Bowl, let us help you make the best of your first trip out of the backwards dumpster fire that is Lee County with our guide to The Magic City.
The Auburn Tigers football team is staying in the luxurious Wynfrey hotel in Birmingham… the one connected to the mall.
Only the best hotel with adjoining Sears will do for Gus Malzahn’s brave warriors of the gridiron on such an important bowl trip. (Memphis is staying at the Sheraton, where they won’t be anywhere near a Subway. HA, SUCK IT AAC CONFERENCE! WDE!)
With this in mind we’ve custom made our guide to help you get the most out of the Galleria and Arkadelphia Road, home to Legion Field.
FOOD
Villa Pizza is the Check Cola of mall food court pizza restaurants. Their slogan is “Damn, the Sbarro is a Villa Pizza now.”
After you’ve enjoyed your off brand mall pizza you could enjoy an adult beverage from the ABC liquor store located on the first floor near the Sears. Auburn fans will love that they have such easy access to liquor to help drown the pain of playing the Birmingham Bowl.
IMPORTANT AUBURN FAMILY WARNING: IF YOU SEE PAT DYE’S SOBER COMPANION PLEASE WARN THEM ABOUT THE MALL LIQOUR STORE.
Other food options include that place that rights things on disgusting looking giant cafeteria cookies and the water fountain by the bathrooms.
