Eighteen Alabama Crimson Tide players showed their skills off to NFL scouts today at Alabama’s pro day.

ICYMI: Nick Saban came in fourth in Alabama’s recent student government election.

There were eighteen Alabama players on hand for pro day today in Tuscaloosa:

Jake Coker
Kenyan Drake
Derrick Henry
Dominick Jackson
Cyrus Jones
Ryan Kelly
Denzel Devall
Ty Flournoy-Smith
Darren Lake
Dillon Lee
Geno Matias-Smith
Richard Mullaney
Michael Nysewander
D.J. Pettway
Reggie Ragland
Jarran Reed
A’Shawn Robinson
Jabriel Washington

There would have been nineteen players attending pro day, but unfortunately Bradley Sylve was injured yesterday.  This is probably a devastating blow to Sylve’s chances of getting drafted.

A lot of NFL scouts and some NFL coaches were on hand, including Nick Saban’s old mentor.

The Colts may have had the biggest presence at the event.

Alabama Football’s veterans of course looked impressive.

The team that picks up Jake Coker late is going to get a bargain.

Nick Saban had this to say about Jake Coker to the SEC Network after the event:

"“I think Jake didn’t get invited to Indy because 97 juniors went out. And I think that’s a whole other conversation … They should’ve stayed in school and developed. But because the NFL wants to see guys that they don’t know much about, guys like Jake Coker don’t get to go to the combine. I think that’s very, very unfortunate, and I think for the number of players that we’ve had play here and play in the NFL, Jake Coker should’ve been invited to the combine … He’s got a great arm and can make all of the throws, and for his size, he’s very athletic, and I think a lot of people are going to like that.”"

Derrick Henry was of course Derrick Henry.

And A’Shawn was A’Shawn.

We’re really going to miss this class at Alabama, but these guys are going to do great things in the NFL.
