Over the last four years, Alabama native and Bama defensive lineman Tim Keenan III proved that he was more than worthy of his three-star rating coming out of high school.
Now, as he leaves the Crimson Tide for the next level, a few of those flaws that recruiting experts may have picked up on are coming to the surface once again.
As the former Alabama defensive lineman went through the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, his size was as noteworthy as usual, standing at 6-foot-2 and 327 pounds. However, his athleticism was a massive red flag that repeatedly popped up.
Tim Keenan III may be missing the motor necessary in the NFL
Using his size, his explosiveness, and his speed, Keenan earned a 2.96 RAS (Relative Athletic Score) at the Combine. Those 2.96 points aren't out of three, or even five. They're out of 10. In other words, Keenan's athletic abilities are a huge flaw in his game.

Compared to all other defensive tackles that have gone through the combine since 1987 (yes, nearly four decades' worth of DTs), Keenan's athleticism ranked 1,442nd out of 2,046.
Yes, Keenan amassed nearly 100 total tackles during his time with the Tide, but those were almost entirely on run plays by opponents. In other words, because of his large frame, he's really good at run stuffing, but because of his poor athletic qualities, he doesn't have a big pass-rushing upside.
Tim Keenan III is a DT prospect in the 2026 draft class. He scored an unofficial 2.96 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 1442 out of 2046 DT from 1987 to 2026.

Keenan is projected to go in the fourth or fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft and saw his draft stock drop even further down the rankings after the Combine. Alabama's Pro Day is another opportunity for him to improve his stock.
Until then, he needs to focus on improving his athleticism, or he could quickly see himself turning into a sixth or seventh-round pick, or maybe even an undrafted free agent.
