10 things to make Alabama fans feel better

The loss to Oklahoma was embarrassing. It was no fun. It made me sad and angry. No different than you felt, I'm sure. But it's okay, because I've got 10 things to make you, the disappointed Alabama fan, feel better.

3 points. They scored 3 points. There was no gameplan, there were no adjustments, there were key injuries, it was just a complete disaster. I started writing this article to rip on Alabama and the coaching staff just like everyone else. And then I decided I would attempt to be a shining light for my fellow Alabama fans. So here they are, 10 things to make us all feel better.

1. Alabama Basketball is good

Currently 3-1, and ranked number 8 in the country, Alabama has one of the most talented teams in the country. Sure, they lost a game, and Mark Sears is not playing great, but things look good moving forward. And Labaron Philon is electric. It's going to be a fun season.

2. Jalen Milroe still leads the team in passing and rushing yards

I know most of us are down on Milroe right now, me included. But, if you go back and read my last post, you will see this is a good thing! Basically, if Milroe leads the team in both passing and rushing yards this year Alabama is going to win 6 National Championships under Kalen Deboer. It's a little too much to explain here, and I had to take a few leaps in logic to get there, but it's a thing. Go check it out!

3. Only ~5 billion years until our Sun burns out

Not long now! Scientists debate this number so it could be a couple billion years longer, but either way, the Sun will burn out. And when that happens nobody will remember that Alabama Football lost in embarrassing fashion to 5-5 Oklahoma with an SEC Championship and Playoff berth on the line. That will be nice.

4. Alabama recruiting is still going strong

Per 247 Sports, Alabama currently has the 3rd best 2025 recruiting class, and the 2nd best in the SEC. That's good! Things can get better! And if that doesn't work there's always the transfer portal. We just need one of you Alabama super fans to become a billionaire. It can be me if y'all are ok with that. I will heavily donate to the NIL collective I promise. I just need every one of you reading this to read everything I write a couple million times each, and we can make it happen.

5. There's still a chance for the playoff

I'm not 100% sure this is a good thing, but you can't win it all if you aren't in. And anything can happen once you are in. Alabama doesn't control its own destiny anymore, but there's still a chance, and crazier things have happened. Not much crazier, but still.

6. There was a baby deer in my yard yesterday

Just look at it. All small and cute. It made me feel better I hope it helps you too.

7. Oklahoma owes Alabama $100,000

For storming the field after their win, Oklahoma has to pay a fine of $100,000 to Alabama. If you are keeping track, that is now $300,000 that Alabama has profited this year. $100,000 each from Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS! Who really got the last laugh here?

8. New season best for penalties

Alabama had a season best 4 penalties for 30 yards against Oklahoma beating their previous best of 4 penalties for 40 yards against Wisconsin. 4 penalties basically constitute a flawless game compared to most other games this year. Maybe they need to commit penalties to not get beat by 21 to a .500 team. Like a security blanket of sorts. I'll look into that and get back to you.

9. Ryan Williams still made that insane play against Georgia

Remember when Alabama beat Georgia? And Ryan Willams defied the human body's physical capabilities? Those were good times. Yes, the rest of the season has kind of ruined all of that but just watch the video and pretend we are back in those better times.

10. It could most certainly be worse

The 3 losses are bad ones. This most recent one was an embarrassing display. But I assure you, it could be much worse. Alabama could have never gotten it going against South Florida and lost then. They could have botched the ending of the South Carolina game worse than they did and lost there. They could have blown a massive lead against Georgia and lost then. These three losses could have easily been six. Instead, Alabama has spent the entire year in playoff contention. And as crazy as it seems, they aren't dead yet. This season could, however, get SIGNIFICANTLY worse next weekend. But we will worry about that at a later date.

See, don't you feel better now? I know most of these were sarcastic but that's apparently how I deal with devastating Alabama losses. But did you see that baby deer? It's adorable. That had to have helped someone's day so I'm calling that a success. We are all in this together. And I'll blog 100 baby deer if that's what it takes to help my fellow Alabama fans. This was a bad weekend. But we can get through this. Alabama is not dead yet. And even if they are, which they probably should be, they will be back eventually. Right? Either way I'm here for you.
