It’s that time again, where we sift through the police blotter to find out what they’re saying on the Auburn message boards. It’s been a busy week since we last convened, so topic range from recruiting to crime (as if those aren’t linked on the Plains), so sit back and enjoy. As always, spelling and grammar errors are in the originals.
"I wonder if a certain sportscaster will comment about parents of recruits worrying about the safety of their children on a particular college campus on the news tonight?"
"Drive-by shooting in turd town right in the middle of the bars in Temerson square, six people shot and more details coming soon. That’s like the third shooting in the past few months. It’s getting ridiculous there as if it wasn’t already."
"something doesn’t smell right about Dee getting arrested twice in ten days…..he’s never seemed like the type of kid to cause trouble….at all."
"I mean, local bammers wouldn’t stoop to this kind of level would they? I know this is the epitome of black helicopter posts, but this is just flat out strange."
"Not saying he was just sitting on his front porch drinking lemonade and got busted. He was involved, but it’s just minor stuff that anyone else would be told to “stop” and let go on their way. He had better learn real quick that he has a large target on his back and he better tow the line; and quit “publicly” talking about taking RF away from the turds."
"His first arrest was telling at a cop? Is this 1950 Alabama? Give me a fn break."
"But we know that some schools’ recruits get a 5th star because they can do a standing backflip (regardless of the fact that they are functionally illiterate, mind you) but Carl Lawson isn’t committed to some schools. He’s committed to Auburn. If there is a reason to drop him, he’ll get dropped"
"Deangelo Benton sure seems to be involved in a lot of situations. He was the first to argue with Desmonte Leonard and he was also one of the spice smokers the night of the home invasion. How many of you guys have had gun violence and armed robbery so close to you. He must have some really bad luck I guess."
"I’ve been saying this for two years and I’ll say it again, imo, ua is paying espn in some form or fashion for positive spin on their behalf or negative reporting on who they request (insert Auburn). Think of it as paying for ad time but they don’t run commercials (although they did have that role tawd campaign a couple of years ago)."
"Lost in all this is that Reuben actually said “Auburn University” !!!"
"This staff puts in WORK!!!! Most importantly the HC allows them to be who they are AND they all believe in and hold the line of FAMILY!!!! They all have the same passion and vision of the HC!!! It’s not about being car salesmen and telling a kid what they want to hear or all the championship won. It’s about FAMILY coming in being a GREAT CITIZEN, WORKING HARD(classroom + on the field) and GREAT THINGS WILL COME!!!!"
"Was watching some RF highlights, and the dude would make a mean fullblock."
And finally, one Auburn fan is right on top of the latest news…
"Does anyone know what the Foster news conference was about?"
