Auburn Football: Your Weekly Auburn Zen – Fahr Everbody Edition
By Tony Breland
It’s that time again, where we kick the anthill and stare at the swarm, by visiting the Auburn message boards. Coming off a surprisingly close loss to LSU, the Tigers are 1-3 and consoling themselves on the fact that, you guessed it, they’re young. As always, spelling and grammar errors are in the originals.
"Loeffler should have his ass kicked. That is all."
"This is completely on CSL! You do ANY and EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to help your team win the game as a coordinator. What does he do? He plays not to lose WHILE BEHIND! lmao"
"3 and 32, what would scot loefller call? I’m thinking a qb knee."
"He is as bad a QB as we have ever had start"
"I will take a highly competitive loss to LSU at this point. Nice game."
"highly competitive? we have like 120 yards of total offense. wtf is competitive about that? they are taking baby steps with their qb… think uga or bama will do that?"
"I’m so glad Tim Jackson was within 12 inches of CGC on that last play call. This program is in trouble and he is a major part of that. What other program in America has the associate athletic director sneaking up to listen to the play calls??? Auburn is its own worst enemy. F*cking loser."
"We ran the dam ball on 3rd and 12 twice!!!! WTF?? We are in a position to win the game and we don’t even give our guys a chance!!!! Just chaps my ass! Give Frazier a damn chance Chiz!!!!"
"our offense is terrible, and you can’t fix a bad play caller and a QB not ready for the SEC very easily. Those things tend to either take time, or a change of zip code for someone."
"We scored 10 points. The only team we have scored more than 19 points against was LaMo. It is very, very reasonable to question the OC, who, by the way, has 1 year of experience at Temple. He has been nothing short of a disaster so far."
"Good News is that we may be able to beat arky."
"how many years has Arkansas come stumbling into the Auburn game 1-2, 1-3 and needing a huge win and end up punking the hell out of Auburn."
"That game is going to be a war and even with John L Smith at the helm Auburn better bring their A- Game"
"Why do idiots say Saban coaches players for the NFL? What turd player has exceeded his talent level in the nfl? Dre Kirkpatrick? Can’t back pedal. Hightower? Nope he was just out of position and got burned. Rolando McClain? I don’t think so. Terrence Cody? Dominating college player but where is he in the pros? Oh yeh we saw his combine photo. John Parker Wilson? Ginger Mcelroy? Total “NFL ready” busts. Mark Ingram? Extremely average. The two best turd players that played under Saban are Trent and Julio, and what they do, has nothing to do with saban’s coaching and everything to do with genetics (and steroids). So where does this mythic narrative that saban somehow coaches players up for the nfl come from? It’s BS."
"If Auburn would allow alcohol in th stadium for early kickoffs, that would help."
"You do realize that a vast majority of Auburn’s probations from years ago came at the hands of Alabama setting us up?"
"We do have a bunch of whiny fans that can’t seem to see the situation we are in and why we are in it. We do need to give Chiz more time, and come 2014 the fans will realize what Chiz was doing all along, and that was building a program for the future, one that will be near/at the top and stay there for a while."
"Can’t stand to lose, despise it actually. However, hearing the fans cheer the team reminds me how special we are. Getting beat doesn’t mean we were defeated. Inspirational."
"Guys , I think I just saw a freaking black panther. I just turned down a road here in Fairhope and as soon as I turn I see this black thing crouched down. As I’m getting close it lowers itself just like a cat would but I think it’s some kinda dog. But I’m looking and it looks nothing like a dog. It had VERY green eyes. it was about the size of a 50 lb dog I’d say. Wow."
"Our kids got completely shammed tonight"
And finally, one Auburn fan can see the good times just over the horizon:
"We finally look like a talented but young team."
