As Fan Day has come and gone, the Crimson Tide looks to get back to work on Monday.  Competition is heating up for the QB position, while some some positional moves are cooling down.  After brief stays at TE and LT,  both Dakota Ball and Dominick Jackson have respectively returned to their positions of DT and RG.

More from AL.com:

"TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — The practice routine moved back behind the closed doors and green fences on the Alabama campus Monday. The fourth practice of August was again outdoors on a soupy afternoon in Tuscaloosa. It was the final practice before NCAA rules say they can put on full pads for the first time. They wore helmets and shoulder pads for the second straight day.Setting the sceneAs noted, it was nice and warm out there. The temperature was right at 94 degrees mid-practice but that doesn’t stop several assistant coaches from wearing long-sleeved shirts. Bo Davis sported a gray sweatshirt and Kevin Steele went with a white workout shirt. What we saw— Linebacker Trey DePriest was in black again and doing drills with the trainers off to the side. He had a brace on his left knee after suffering a minor injury Saturday. There was a small limp noticeable as he did a few agility drills.— Reuben Foster and Reggie Ragland continued to work side by side with the first group with the middle linebackers with DePriest out.— Cornerback Eddie Jackson was wearing a regular crimson jersey during the media viewing period, but he wore black after the early drills in Sunday’s practice.— There’s still no sign of the three suspended defensive players — Tim Williams,Jarran Reed and Brandon Ivory.— Taking a look at the quarterbacks, Blake Sims threw a couple nice deep balls in drills without defenders. Jacob Coker throws a tight ball as well, only saw one minor overthrow in the viewing period.— The leaping ability of Robert Foster is notable. He’s already 6-foot-3, so the ability to get the tall passes could be an asset for him moving forward. Also, from Sunday, I remember freshman Derek Kief making a few nice grabs. He’s another tall receiver at 6-foot-5.— Dakota Ball moved back over to the defensive line after spending the first few practices with the tight ends. Somehow that slipped past me, but eagle-eye Chris Walshmade note of it.— There’s been a small film crew following the team around early in camp. They’re working on some behind-the-scenes features that’ll run on the SEC Network and other ESPN platforms. What comes nextThere are no player or Saban interviews Monday. Practice resumes Tuesday afternoon before Wednesday’s first two-a-day workout.http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2014/08/alabama_practice_report_a_quic.html"

Hopefully Bama will get back these players from injury and/or suspension soon. A position as thin as inside linebacker can’t afford to be without the talent and experience of Senior Trey DePriest.
