The University of Florida has been trying to regain its identity in the Southeastern Conference since Urban Meyer tucked tail for Ohio State. I would argue that Florida has been fighting to regain its consistent identity since Coach Spurrier left for the National Football League. Florida is a team that is almost there, but has yet to prove themselves under Coach Muschamp to be considered the real deal.

Along those same lines, every tailgate needs plates and utensils. It would be extremely messy to eat potato salad with your hands, but no good tailgater is going to bring out their fancy china and silverware. True tailgaters are going to bring something paper or plastic that may look good sitting on the table, but upon use it begins to break down and get messy. Like paper plates and plastic utensils, once Florida hits the field it becomes obvious that they cannot hold their own weight against rival SEC teams and are guaranteed to breakdown.
