With the exclusion of Georgia fans and those who despise the Ol’ Ball Coach, most fans in the SEC do not mind USC. Fans may not root for them every weekend, but they don’t go out-of-their-way to root against them. Soda and South Carolina have a lot in common. Sure, there are the parent advocates who call soda the sugary devil and those who cannot drink soda for health reasons. However, at the end of the day most people either like soda or don’t mind it. Soda and USC are also alike because we have seen so many different versions of each. We may have barely noticed it, seen it as a flash-in-the-pan, and then it becomes a household name. Whether you need soda to mix your adult beverage or wash down that hotdog, it’s a true staple of any tailgate.
