6) Mississippi State Bulldogs

Is this the year of the Bulldog? It’s depending on what would make the fans happy. Mississippi State will have a tough team and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them beat someone that they aren’t supposed to beat.

Thus far in the season, the Bulldogs are undefeated at 2-0. They handled a Southern Miss team 49-0 during the opening weekend but had trouble with UAB at home but won 47-34.

There are really no alarming factors that stick out about the offense. Quarterback Dak Prescott is 30/51 on the season with 495 yards and eight touchdowns. Running backs Josh Robinson and Prescott as well has added to the rushing totals. Robinson 34 carries for 211 yards with one touchdown. Prescott added 134 yards.

The problem seems to be what the defense is giving up. Against UAB, the Bulldogs gave 548 yards with 485 of those coming from the air. Just guessing right now, I have them at 7-5 for the 2014 season with possible 8-4 if they get that upset win.
