Alabama vs. Texas A&M: Looking Ahead
"When I first saw the opening line for the next game between Alabama and Texas A&M, I couldn’t believe the Tide was favored by 14.5-points. After reading some posts from their moderators on GigEm247, the Aggies may have more issues than we do."
This is one actually from me. I was reading around trying to get a feel for the Aggies when I came across this post from a moderator on their board about their situation and it made me a feel a bit better since it looks like they have some serious issues on both sides of the ball. Check out the highlights in our link and then you can follow the link in the article to read the entire thread. You can always get a good pulse on a program from reading posts by moderators and some posters. But definitely not all posters. I will have to say we have some great and knowledgeable guys on The Houndztooth Powered By Bama Hammer. Be sure to sign up and join us. It’s absolutely free.
Former Alabama football great, Huntsville businessman Tommy Lewis dies at 83
"Tommy Lewis, one of the state’s legendary football figures and a long-time Huntsville businessman, died Sunday after a long illness. He was 83.Lewis, a former University of Alabama football star, became synonymous with the quote “just too full of Alabama” after an incident during the 1954 Cotton Bowl when he stepped off the sideline to knock over Rice running back Dicky Moegle, who was en route for a touchdown."
I work in music and love Alabama football and so many of the greats that I admire are leaving this world too soon. Tommy Lewis was before I was born, but I did meet him through my dad before he passed away. Rest in peace, Tommy. Roll Tide. Prayers and thought to his family, friends and all those that knew him.
Alabama freshman punter JK Scott honored with SEC, national awards
"The busiest night of freshman punter JK Scott’s Alabama career was recognized Monday by the SEC and the committee behind his position’s top award.Scott was recognized as the SEC’s Special Teams Player of the Week just a few hours after he was named the Ray Guy Award Player of the Week."
JK Boom Scott as I like to call him is showing out this season and is definitely one of the brighter spots in the special teams. Always love seeing the guys not out there much get recognized.

Alabama football player was nervous, confident before getting engaged in unique proposal
"Shepherd couldn’t even downplay his anxiety in the moment.“Yeah, probably the most nervous thing I’ve ever done in my life,” he said, but didn’t doubt she’d accept the offer.Back in August, Shepherd talked about starting the foundation with King, who lost a brother to cancer as a child.“She wanted me to go visit the hospital with her one day, Children’s of Birmingham,” Shepherd said. “I was kind of nervous about it because I’m really uncomfortable in those situations, seeing kids like that. But we went up there, we kind of played with the kids, drew, painted, all that. I kinda fell in love with it. That night, me and Jenna, we got in the process of starting one. So we came up with that idea, so now we do the Austin Shephard foundation. We try to bring a kid and their family to at least every home game.”"
Job well done Shepherd and congratulations to you and the bride to be. She’s very beautiful and you can tell from her work with the foundation, she is a very giving and loving person. Hope the best for you two.
