Both Seattle Seahawks Rookie WR Kevin Norwood and St. Louis Rams Center Barrett Jones made their season debuts in week 7, coincidentally in the same game. While Green Bay Packers Rookie Safety HaHa Clinton-Dix made his first career start in a win against the Carolina Panthers. Newly signed linebacker Nico Johnson also made his debut for the Cincinnati Bengals, recording a tackle in the blowout loss to the Colts.
After being called up from the practice squad due to injuries in the secondary earlier in the week, the Carolina Panthers released Safety Robert Lester to make room for linebacker Adarius Glanton. Lester is expected to return to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
Eagles LG Evan Mathis has been cleared to resume practicing. Currently on the I.R./return list, Mathis isn’t eligible to play until Week 10. Ravens DT Terrence Cody also resumed practicing, Baltimore has 3 weeks to determine if they want to activate him from the PUP list.
