Mark Ingram’s selection matches Alabama record for former players picked for Pro Bowl

"Ingram becomes the fifth former Alabama player selected for this season’s Pro Bowl, equaling the most Crimson Tide players selected for one all-star game. Alabama also had five Pro Bowl selections following the 1984 season.Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones and Baltimore Ravens inside linebacker C.J. Mosley were the former Alabama players on the original roster for this season’s Pro Bowl. Philadelphia Eagles guard Evan Mathis made it four Crimson Tide players picked for this season’s Pro Bowl when he was named an injury replacement for guard Jahri Evans, a teammate of Ingram’s in New Orleans."

Congrats to Mark Ingram on heading to the Pro Bowl.

Florida making late push for Alabama linebacker commit Adonis Thomas

"One of the top linebackers in the country made his official visit to Alabama over the past weekend.Lawrenceville, Ga., 4-star recruit Adonis Thomas, who committed to Alabama last December, took the trip with his mother and younger brother Josiah. His coach at Central Gwinnett, Todd Wofford, went over for the day on Saturday.“All day Saturday when I was there, he had a good time,” Wofford said. “His mom and his brother had a good time. He hung out with (Tide linebacker) Shaun Dion (Hamilton) again like he did most of the time when he went over (to Tuscaloosa) for games. His little brother and his mom had a good time with Coach (Nick) Saban and (defensive coordinator) Coach (Kirby) Smart. His little brother stole the show all weekend from everything I saw.”"

Great rundown where things stand with Adonis Thomas. From reading his tweets, he sounds pretty solid to me.

Alabama Cheerleading Wins Two National Titles

"The University of Alabama cheerleading squad took home a pair of national titles over the weekend, winning both the Coed and All-Girl Division IA titles at the 2015 Universal Cheerleaders Association and Universal Dance Association national championship. The title is the third for the coed squad (1983 and 2011) and the first for the all-girl team, which only made its debut at the national championships last season. Alabama is the first ever school to win both the Division I coed and all-girl title in the same season."

Way to go, ladies. Just another couple of trophies for Tuscaloosa.
