Alabama may have won the week, but that doesn’t stop some fan bases from claiming National Championships!

Well folks; week one is in the books and it was an entertaining one. Believe it or not Alabama’s trouncing of Wisconsin wasn’t the only game this weekend. All 14 SEC teams were scheduled to play, but mother nature wasn’t quite ready to watch 60 minutes of LSU quarterback play so she sent a Lightning storm to Baton Rouge.

Of the 13 teams to play only Vandy didn’t start the season 1-0; way to go Vandy! Most of the 12 SEC wins were done so in style. Only Kentucky, South Carolina, and you guessed it, Auburn didn’t win by double digits.

There were no SEC head to head match-ups in week one, but there are three such games slated for week two. Georgia travels to Vanderbilt, Kentucky heads to South Carolina and LSU travels to Starkville to take on the Bulldogs. We should find out a lot more about each of those teams as conference play gets started.

So let’s take a look around the SEC to see what really went down in week one of the college football season. We’ll break this out each week by the winners and losers in the West, then the winners and losers in the East. Although there will be no SEC West losers this week, good job guys!

I’ll skip Alabama because, well we all know what happened there.
