Florida:

The Gators took down the mighty Kentucky Wildcats over the weekend 14-9. Thankfully I did not watch this game, but indicated by the score, it must’ve been a doozie.

The win marked 29 straight wins against the fellows from the Bluegrass State. That’s insane, 29 straight wins against a team you play every year; or basically Alabama and Tennessee at this point.

Speaking of Tennessee, the Gators will get a chance to continue their win streak against them this weekend.

Georgia:

The Bulldogs took care of the HBC Between the Hedges on Saturday with a whopping 52-20 victory.

Look I know South Carolina isn’t the best measuring stick, but it looks like Georgia may be able to throw the ball more than we expected. Bulldogs quarterback Greyson Lambert (which happens to be the most Georgia name ever) went 24 for 25 with 330 yards and three touchdowns. Not too bad.

Nick Chubb claimed his third Heisman trophy on the season as well with an impressive 159 yard, two touchdown performance.

Georgia will have one more tune-up game with Southern coming into town this weekend. Then the big showdown with the Crimson Tide.

Missouri:

Oh Missouri, really? The Tigers almost had their annual stinker on Saturday as they had to hold on to beat UConn 9-6. I can confirm; this isn’t basketball, therefore no SEC team should be losing to UConn.

I caught most of this game since it was the only decent game in the 11 a.m. window, and man did Mizzou look bad.

Here’s hoping we get to see them again in Atlanta come early December.

Tennessee:

Fire the hype train back up! The Vols took care of Western Carolina at home on Saturday which can only mean one thing; NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

In all reality 55-10 isn’t too shabby on the Vols part but it wasn’t exactly top of the line competition.

Tennessee was able to force three turnovers while not turning it over any. It was a nice prep game as they look to finally beat Florida in the Swamp on Saturday.

Vanderbilt:

Welcome to the club Vandy! I was really starting to wonder if we’d ever see you on the winner’s page of the SEC Roundup.

The Commodores beat Austin Peay 47-7 in what could be the Dores only victory in 2015.

With Vandy traveling to Ole Miss this weekend something tells me they’ll be right back to the SEC East Losers page in one week’s time. Enjoy it while it lasts!
