9 Tuscaloosa’s Craft Beer Scene
Tuscaloosa wasn’t always blessed with great beer. There was a saying when I attended the Capstone “Miller Light, it tastes like Tuscaloosa.” Over the last few years though T-town has grown and nurtured a vibrant and exciting craft beer scene. The jewel in the crown of Tuscaloosa draft beer is Druid City Brewing, which we are huge fans of. If you haven’t experienced a Druid City brew then I just don’t know what you’re doing with your life.
If you’re into dark beers may we suggest a Tuscaloosa Stout. This beer is so delicious. After a Tuscaloosa Stout you have that satisfied warm feeling like you’ve just enjoyed a good solid meal.
If you’re more into something lighter though we would point you too a Riverside Saison. The Riverside Saison is a little tart and sharp, it’s got a crisp kick from the usual dull blandness of other light beers.
Be sure to also stop by Druid City’s Tap Room and enjoy their amazing chalk board art with your beer. (We are still waiting for them to invite our resident cartoonist in to do a guest mural.)
There’s no doubt Alabama fans should be thankful for the excellent level of beer now available in Tuscaloosa.
