8 The Walk Of Champions

Every school seems to have a “Walk of Champions” now… the difference is that Alabama’s has actual champions.  Our players leave the buses and move through a cheering crowd walking on pavement adorned with 15 national championship teams.

They pass under the gaze of Alabama’s great national title winning coaches: Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Bear Bryant, Gene Stallings, and Nick Saban.  We must admit that we even on occasion leave a tribute of Golden Flakes and a Co-Cola.

It’s worked for every game this year other than the Ole Miss game; no tradition is perfect.

All these SEC schools try to manufacture tradition, but at Alabama there’s no need for that, we have it in spades. Keep your Tiger Walk and wanna be champions walk, we have the real thing. We are thankful for the glorious traditions of the Crimson Tide, Roll Tide!
