The More Advanced Stats Make Even More Of A Case
I have to give the hat tip to fellow writer Tyler Dalton of Bama Hammer for these next few tidbits. If you haven’t read his post yet, take some time to do so.
Henry didn’t pad his stats against easier competition contrary to what national college football suits are trying to make you believe. All I will say is remember the ones that troll Bama fans and then pay no attention to those articles. Let’s look at a few stats Tyler came up with.’
Against FBS teams, all Henry could add to his stat line was 227 carries for 1,406 yards 18 touchdowns. That sentence was dripping with sarcasm if you didn’t know.
He also leads the nation with yards after contact at 978 yards with 21 of those going for over 15 yards or more. Also of note, out of Henry’s 46 carries agaisnt the Auburn Tigers, only one went for no gain.
Those are pretty good looking stats against some tough competition with the exception of the FCS teams that the Tide played.
