The Votes Are In And The Winner Is Decided

I know that many of you have seen the last minute push from national media members that support Christian McCaffrey here in the past few days. All of the votes are in and they couldn’t sway the vote now if they tried.

All Heisman votes were due on Monday by 4 p.m. CT. That is plenty of time to watch the conference championships and to make a better-informed decision. The fact is, not many of them do watch them all, especially voters on the east coast watching west coast games.

Henry was the big favorite heading into Championship Weekend on did what most reporters said “he had to do to clinch the award”. As a matter of fact, he’s done just that a few times this season.

He could be a close vote with Henry taking the southern region while the Stanford back carries the west. I still believe the talk from before the weekend will be enough momentum to give Alabama their second Heisman in the history of the program and they have all come since Coach Saban has arrived.
