During his time at Alabama Nick Saban has signed an incredible 33 five star recruits and 134 four star recruits.

ICYMI: Alabama football has won another recruiting championship.

Alabama Football‘s dominance just can’t be argued anymore.  Not only has the Tide won 4 National Championships in the last 7 years, but they have also had the top recruiting class six years in a row, including this year.  (Don’t feed me that jive about ESPN ranking FSU #1 this year.  ESPN doesn’t include JUCOs in their rankings and they are a joke.)

Alabama’s dominance goes even deeper than that though, and of course it’s due to Nick Saban.  Since Nick Saban has been at Alabama he’s signed an amazing 33 five star recruits and 134 four star recruits.  That is just an unbelievable run of dominance.  If you want to know why Alabama football wins championships, look no further than their incredible recruiting.

It breaks down like this:

In 2007, Nick Saban signed 0 five stars and only 10 four stars.  Of course in 2007 Nick Saban had only been the Alabama head coach for a month and recruiting takes time.  The standout four star of the 2007 class was Rolando McClain.

In 2008, Nick Saban had a full year to recruit and landed 3 five stars and 19 four stars.  Saban’s five star standout was the incredible Julio Jones and his four star standout was Mark Barron.

In 2009, Alabama Football signed 4 five stars and 14 four stars.  The 2009 standouts were five star Trent Richardson and four star AJ McCarron.

2010‘s Alabama Football class included 1 five star in Demarcus Milliner and 15 four stars, inculding CJ Mosley.

Nick Saban signed 3 five stars in 2011 and 14 four stars.  The standouts of the 2011 class were five star Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and four star Jesse Williams.

In 2012 Saban managed to once again get 3 five stars and 14 four stars to sign with Alabama. The 2014 standouts included five star TJ Yeldon and four star Reggie Ragland.

2013 saw Alabama land 4 five stars and 10 four stars; including 5 star A’Shawn Robinson and four star Derrick Henry.

In 2014 Nick Saban had 6 five stars and 13 four stars commit.  The standouts of 2014 are 5 star Bo Scarbrough and 4 star Dominick Jackson.

Last year in 2015 Nick Saban signed 4 five stars and 15 four stars.  Last years biggest gets were 5 star Calvin Ridley and 4 star Blake Barnett.  (I love Barnett as Alabama’s next QB and his dropping some facts on recruits today through social media only made me love him more.)

This year… well what can you say? Alabama’s dominance continues with 5 five stars and 10 four stars in 2016.

This years top recruits were:

5 stars: Lyndell “Mack” Wilson, Jonah Williams, Terrell Hall, Ben Davis, and Charles Baldwin.

4 stars: Quinnen Williams, T.J. Simmons, Jared Mayden, Nigel Knott (Remember when Nigel Knott did a backflip while catching a pass? That was awesome.) , Kendell Jones, Jalen Hurts, B.J. Emmons, Trevon Diggs, Raekwon Davis, and Shyheim Carter.

And to put the exclamation point on all of this dominance… every single one of Nick Saban’s recruiting classes at Alabama has been part of a National Championship.  That’s a 100% average on National Championships for recruits who stick with the program and play football at Alabama for Nick Saban. Actually it may be higher than 100%, a lot of these guys won more than one National Championship.
