My Auburn Bookstore Slogan Contest Entry

The Auburn Bookstore is having a contest asking folks to come up with gameday slogans for buttons, I of course decided to enter.

ICYMI: Former Ole Miss kicker Andy Pappanastos will be lacing up for Alabama Football this year.

Once again the Auburn Bookstore is having a competition asking fans to come up with gameday button slogans… at Auburn they need all the slogan help they can get.  The Auburn Bookstore needs at least one slogan for each and every team the mighty Tigers will face at home next year (I guess they know their fans aren’t going to bother going to away games). Although it might be a tall order to figure out a way to make Auburn sound threatening to some of the teams on this schedule, I’m always up for a challenge.

Since I’m a well known helper, fan of slogans, and the Auburn Tigers I decided to contribute some suggestions. Here are my entries AND designs for the Auburn Bookstore’s 2016 gameday button slogan competition.

HOME GAME 1 CLEMSON

This is a tough one because Clemson is a very good team.

This slogan is a play on that old joke that “Clemson is Auburn with a lake.” Of course in order to be accurate we have to include the other thing that Clemson has that Auburn is lacking… a football team.

Auburn may be worried that an angry Clemson, fresh off a loss to Alabama in the National Championship Game, might see beating up on Auburn as revenge of some kind.  This button lets Clemson know that beating up on Alabama’s little brother won’t solve anything.
