Happy Tuesday morning, Bammers! I hope you’ve had your coffee and are ready for today’s Tide Report. It’s full of all kinds of Bama goodies from all over the world wide web.

ICYMI: Four-Star Dual-Threat QB Tua Tagovailoa Commits to Alabama

Who Are Alabama’s Top 2017 NFL Prospects?

(AL.com)

"Seven Alabama players were selected during the first three rounds of this year’s NFL draft, which ended Saturday. There are several more current Tide players currently projected to go early in next year’s draft."

This year’s draft has come to a close, but in Crimson Tide fashion, we’re already looking at our next group of standouts and predicting how they will fare when it comes their turn to be selected for the NFL next season. Household names such as OJ Howard, Reuben Foster, and Adam Griffith – no, that’s not a typo – are projected to go quickly in the 2017 draft. Click the link above for the full list, stats, and a photo gallery of Bama’s top players who will likely declare for the draft next year.

Incoming Tennessee DL: “I Know We’re Going To Beat Alabama”

(AL.com)

"Jonathan Kongbo appears to be on a mission to give Alabama as much bulletin board material as possible before actually enrolling at Tennessee.First, the Tennessee defensive lineman signee posted a video of him working out in front of a whiteboard saying, “Bama we coming!”Then, in an interview with RockyTopInsider.com, Kongbo said he was confident Tennessee would defeat Alabama next season when asked about recent trash talk from Florida cornerback Jalen Tabor. The Crimson Tide travels to Knoxville for the annual Third Saturday in October game on Oct. 15."

Laughed. Out. Loud.

BamaHammer’s Chris Hale wrote about this exact thing 6 days ago, but now the Tennessee newbie has made the headlines at AL.com. Jonathan Kongbo, defensive lineman for the Vols, ran his mouth about how he KNOWS UT will beat both Florida and Bama this coming season.  Pretty bold statement there, considering it’s been 3,482 days since Tennessee beat Alabama, per the always entertaining @SinceUTBeatBama Twitter account. (It updates daily, in case you’re wondering. Every. Day. It’s glorious).  Read the bulk of the interview with Kongbo at either of the links above. Make sure to bookmark them, so we can send them all to him October 15 after the Tide beats the Vols at home in Knoxville. Maybe then Mr. Kongbo will learn to wait and let his playing do the talking.

Tennessee Titans Announce Decision On Chance Warmack’s Fifth Year Contract Option

"Tennessee general manager Jon Robinson announced on Monday the Titans would not exercise their fifth-year option on the contract of guard Chance Warmack."

Fans of the movie Jerry Maguire will understand what I mean when I say that former Alabama guard Chance Warmack is the Rod Tidwell of offensive linemen in 2016. Like the fictional Tidwell, Warmack will play this season with the purpose of boosting his free agency prospect and hopefully earn bank by either resigning with the Titans or moving to a new organization the following year. Chance might be yelling “Show me the money!!” but all Bama fans know that Warmack’s always exposed belly is probably still shouting, “Show me the Twinkies!”

Miami Dolphins Waive Christion Jones

"The NFL transactions list on the Monday after the league’s annual draft always carries a long list of players leaving their teams after they’ve been deemed expendable following the influx of new talent. One of those players this year is Miami Dolphins wide receiver Christion Jones. Miami waived the former Alabama standout on Monday."

We’ll finish off the day with a little bit of sad news for former Bama receiver Christion Jones. Jones, who won the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year Award in 2013, was cut from the Miami Dolphins yesterday. Hopefully Christion can get picked up by another team and continue to pursue his NFL dreams.
