23. High Five Coaches & Players At the Walk of Champions

Without a doubt, one of the most fantastic experiences an Alabama fan can ever have is to snag a front-row spot for the Walk of Champions.

Prior to every home game, the players, coaches, and cheerleaders ride the buses from the athletic facilities to Bryant-Denny Stadium. When they arrive, they are greeted by thousands of screaming fans, all taking pictures and reaching out, hoping to touch the hands of Bama greats. At this massive red-carpet-like event, you too can FanGirl (or FanGuy) your way to a fist-bump from Lane Kiffin. Players walk through the masses wearing suits and ties, often with earphones on to drown out the deafening sounds of fans screaming their names. Strength and Conditioning coach Scott Cochran always stops to get a hug from his wife and children. Quarterbacks wave to their mamas, linemen pick up their grandmothers in giant bear hugs, and kickers stand up straight trying very hard to be noticed. You can even watch Coach Saban from a short distance, but don’t try to disrupt his Process – the security team won’t let anyone within three feet of him.

The pregame Walk of Champions is a one-of-a-kind experience for the Crimson Tide faithful.  Arrive early to snag a space near the barrier bars for the best chance to see or even high-five your favorite player.
