The Crimson Tide is currently the betting favorite to beat SEC rival LSU, and many recruits from the state of Alabama will be making their college playing decisions public very soon.
ICYMI: Report: Bill Battle Expected To Return To UA Soon
We always love to hear that the Alabama Crimson Tide is favored in ANY game – but particularly in the big SEC matchups like the one against LSU. According to the website oddshark.com, the Crimson Tide are +175 favorites over the Tigers. For the non-gamblers here, the +175 means that if you bet $100 on Alabama to win and they do, you would get $175 in return. I don’t know about you, but I like those odds.
Several top recruits are expected to make their commitments public before the football season official starts, and at least two of them have the Crimson Tide as the front-runner. Four-star WR from Lee-Montgomery, Henry Riggs, is expected to announce on August 1st. Alabama is thought to be his top choice, but he’s also visited The Barn and Penn State. Kendall Randolph, OL out of Bob Jones High School will announce the following day, August 2nd. Kendall is the younger brother of former Crimson Tide basketball standout Levi Randolph. Alabama is the current favorite, but both Bama and Auburn are in his top 5.
Four-star LB KJ Britt has said he will make his decision August 6th. He told AL.com that he didn’t have any finalists yet, but both Georgia and Auburn are thought to be in the mix. There are at least six other recruits expected to verbally commit within the next few weeks. Let’s all hope the Crimson Tide can keep rolling with another top recruiting class this year.
