Tip 5: Do What You Want, But…

If none of the above 4 tips work for you, you can obviously ignore everything and just do what you want. BUT – know ahead of time that some people aren’t going to come, and others that do might be really ticked off. We’ve all heard the Bridezilla who insists, “If they’re really my friends and if they really care about me, they’ll be okay with missing ONE game to come to my fabulous wedding.”

No, actually, they won’t. Even when we love someone very much, a wedding is usually a pain in the ass. Sorry, but it’s true. And especially when we have to change our entire Saturday football routine to attend your ridiculous fall wedding because you liked the idea of using leaves in the background, rest assured that even your very best friends might be pissed.

Bottom line: Do whatever you want, but don’t say you weren’t warned.
