Wide Receiver Calvin Ridley made a huge impact on the game, and produced 9 catches for a total of 129 yards Saturday. In the Tide’s second series, Ridley caught a 51 yard bullet from Hurts and moved the Tide further down the field to set up a failed field goal attempt by Adam Griffith.

As the clock hit 00:00 to end the first quarter, Hurts threw a short 4 yard screen pass to Ridley for the touchdown. At the end of the first, the Crimson Tide lead the Hilltoppers 10-3.
