Alabama Gymnastics: Crimson Tide to Honor Seniors Friday Night

Alabama Gymnastics will have an explosive and emotional salute to the young women who will be competing in Coleman Coliseum for the last time. The Crimson Tide will have six seniors take their final curtain call in Tuscaloosa on Friday.

These young women have contributed heart, focus, and spirit to the Alabama Gymnastics team.

Now it will be their time to be honored for all they have done for the Crimson Tide. Here is a wonderful photo of Mary Lillian Sanders.

Mary Lillian Sanders – Prattville, Alabama
Mary has been a rock at Alabama. She has been competitive on Balance Beam and Vault. Mary has made the Scholastic All-American team, the SEC Academic Honor Roll and the Dean’s List all 3 years at the Capstone.

Katie Bailey – Kernersville, North Carolina
Katie has excelled since her freshman year. She has made the All-American team every year as well as the SEC Academic Honor Roll. She is a three-time All-SEC gymnast and the 2016 NCAA Vault Champion and SEC Uneven Bars Champion. Katie also made Dean’s List in the fall with a 3.75 GPA.

Amanda Jetter – Milford, Ohio
Amanda has been impressive on the team and in the classroom. She has made the All-Freshman Team as well as the SEC Academic Honor Roll all 3 years. Amanda is also a Scholastic All-American and has made Dean’s List all 3 years.

Keely McNeer – Madison, Mississippi
Keely’s career has been amazing. She has earned All-SEC Honors and All-American honors on the Balance Beam. In the classroom, Keely has made the SEC Academic Honor Roll, Scholastic All-American team and the President’s List (4.0 GPA) all 3 years.

Aja Sims – Orlando, Florida
Aja has been dominant for the Crimson Tide. She has made Dean’s List and the President’s List for her outstanding work in the classroom. Aja has been an All-American, a NCAA Balance-Beam Champion and Scholastic All-American.

Mackenzie Valentin – Mustang, Oklahoma
Mackenzie transferred to Alabama after her freshman season at Arizona. She has shined in the classroom since arriving in Tuscaloosa. Mackenzie has made the All-SEC team, the SEC Academic Honor Roll, and Dean’s List all 3 years.

The SEC Women’s Gymnastics Tournament begins Mar. 18th in Jacksonville, FL. Along with Alabama, the top SEC teams are LSU, Florida, and Georgia.
