Quarterback

No. 2 in your program and No. 1 in your hearts – Jalen Hurts

Jalen is the 2017 Alabama football starting QB. Barring injury that will not change throughout the 2017 season.

Backup QB

Based upon physical maturity, Tua Tagovailoa edges out Mac Jones as the No. 2 QB. Mac needs weight and muscle to face SEC pounding.

Longshot Additional QB

Najee Harris MIGHT have a wildcat package at some point, primarily in case Jalen goes down with an injury.

Running Back

Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough will be 1A and 1B.  The other four: Jacobs, Emmons, Harris and Robinson are good enough to play in 2017. Unless there is a massive rules change, allowing simultaneous use of two footballs, at least two of the four will see only limited action.

Wide Receiver

Calvin Ridley and five more wides will be in a rotation. The two most likely starters with Ridley are Cam Sims and Robert Foster. The next three are harder to choose. Best guess is Jerry Jeudy, T.J. Simmons and either Chadarius Townsend, Derek Kief or Tyrell Shavers.

Longshot Additional WR

Henry Ruggs would be listed in the group above if he had been an early enrollee.

All of the above presumes Trevon Diggs remains with the defense. If he splits time on both sides of the ball, he would jump into the second three group.
