Center – Bradley Bozeman

Bozeman will likely be backed up by J.C. Hassenauer.

Left Tackle – Jonah Williams

Jonah Williams’ backup will likely be Scott Lashley, Matt Womack. In the event Tua must fill in for Jalen, Williams might flip back to right tackle since Tua throws left-handed.

Left Guard – Ross Pierschbacher

Backup is likely to be Dallas Warmack.

Right Guard – Lester Cotton

Lester Cotton will either play right guard or right tackle. If he earns the right tackle starter slot, right guard will be wide open. Currently, the player who would step up is Deonte Brown. If Brown can shed some bad weight over the summer, he may be the 2017 starter.

Alex Leatherwood could be moved to guard. Even late enrollee freshman Jedrick Wills could have a chance at guard. Brandon Kennedy, Richie Petitbon and Chris Owens are not completely out of the picture.

Right Tackle

Matt Womack or Alex Leatherwood currently have the best chance for this starting role. The staff is currently most comfortable with Womack. Leatherwood struggled against edge rushers in the A-Day game.

Scott Lashley could still become a factor at right tackle. Another scenario would move Cotton to right tackle, with Womack as his backup.

Tight End – H-back – Miller Forristall

Irv Smith will see action as the backup. Smith has impressed coaches and insiders during the spring. Ronnie Clark will also see action.

Tight End – Hale Hentges

Backup true freshman Major Tennison has emerged, drawing praise from Saban and comparison to O. J. Howard.
