Punter – J.K. Scott
J.K. Scott is one of the best punters in the nation. He may handle kickoffs as well.
Placekicker – TBD
Going into fall camp unsettled at place-kicker is worrisome. Andy Pappanastos‘ A-Day performance likely pushed him No. 3 on the depth chart.
We have become less confident true freshman Joseph Bulovas will win the field goal kicker job. Coming out of high school Bulovas had a reputed big leg. Early reports are Bulovas is struggling with accuracy outside of 40 yards. J. K. Scott may become the starter.
Long Snapper – Thomas Fletcher
The true freshman earned an Alabama football scholarship and at his position that should make him a starter.
Punt Returners – TBD
Trevon Diggs or Xavian Marks are the likely returners based upon experience. One of the less used running backs could earn this job, as could speedster Henry Ruggs.
Kick Returners – TBD
We expect along with Diggs and Marks, Henry Ruggs and Najee Harris are also options.
There are other gifted athletes that can be expected to shine in special teams roles. Expect to see Dylan Moses, Ben Davis, VanDarius Cowan join Mack Wilson as key special teams contributors.
