It was a great day for Alabama Football. Bryant-Denny opened its gates for the first time this season, the weather was perfect and Alabama came away with that 41-10 victory. Fans took to Twitter before, during and after the game.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Fresno State or the New York Giants. Whenever the first home game of the season arrives, fans arrive looking forward to the season opener in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama football took care of business and most fans were pleased with the product on the field.
Fans, as always, put their thoughts on Twitter. We pulled the best and put them all here for your entertainment.
Seriously, if you haven’t followed this guy, you have missed out.
Have a first half, Jalen Hurts.

7 carries, 119 yards , 2 TDs
Hurts play like the guy on madden who run Hail Mary every play and just wait till it clears out and run.

You just can't catch Jalen Hurts! #RollTide pic.twitter.com/Wm4vHGG8Dg

Jalen Hurts had a remarkable day yesterday, putting up 128 yards passing and then led all rushers with 154 yards. This guy has improved and it shows. Alabama football is in good hands with Jalen Hurts at the controls and a capable backup in Tua Tagovailoa.
Looking at the ESPN2 replay, it appears Wallace was poked in the eye while making that last tackle. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. https://t.co/jXrg46m6Zp

THAT TEAM FROM CALIFORNIA’S CHEATIN’ PAWLLL
The only bigger story from the game was Nick Saban’s Press Conference. It had some, ahem….highlights.

Saban on OL: (Long pause)....I think they did a better job in this game. (Another pause)...(Fingers tapping)...Am I happy? No.

Oh, Nick. Don’t ever change.
Now for some other tweets from the game:
Hurts play like the guy on madden who run Hail Mary every play and just wait till it clears out and run.

I don't think there is an Alabama fan alive that wanted to see JK Scott try to make that tackle.

Around the Nation
Three tweets that didn’t show up for the game, much like Auburn’s Offensive Line:
I don’t think one play has defined the Dan Mullen era at Mississippi State so well until now. Too long and always short of expectations.
…Oh snap.
Nicholls' entire university endowment is substantially less than our coach's buyout.

A&M is slipping, despite a win. Kevin Sumlin’s seat has never been hotter.
