Other potential CFB Playoff teams

Penn State 33 – Pitt 14

The Pittsburgh Panthers outgained the Nittany Lions, 342 yards to 312. Penn State won the turnover battle with only one compared to three for Pitt.

Penn State’s running back Saquon Barkley was held to only 22 first-half yards but finished with 88 yards rushing and 45 yards in receptions.

Michigan 36 – Cincinnati 14

Against a not very good Cincinnati team, Michigan gained 414 yards to only 200 yards for the Bearcats. The Bearcats QB, Hayden More was only 15-40 and threw two pick-sixes. Ty Issac had 133 yards on the ground for Michigan.

Louisville 47 – North Carolina 35

Lousiville’s Lamar Jackson showed why he is the front-runner for another Heisman. Jackon was 25-39 for 393 yards against the Tar Heels. He also ran the football for another 132 yards.

North Carolina remains unsettled at QB after losing Mitchell Trubisky to the NFL. Former LSU Tiger, Brandon Harris did not start but had the most success against Louisville. The Tar Heels moved the football against Louisville, gaining 401 yards. The Louisville offense was simply overwhelming ringing up 705 yards on 83 plays.
