Alabama football worked outside on Tuesday in full pads for day two of TAMU preparation. Check out injury news and player adjustments.
As is customary for Tuesday, Alabama football went back to full contact. Monday was just shorts and helmets but tough physical work is standard for mid-week.
Players have long described Saban’s mid-week sessions as so hard actual games are easier.
On ESPN this week Trevor Matich and Joey Galloway discussed how Alabama football and Clemson are a step above everyone else in 2017. Matich had a great line about the Tide,
"They are playing with a hostility that jumps out … they are ahead 21-0, 28-0 and they are still out there playing like it is the national championship game. Smashing people, driving them into the dirt, because they like it."
Speaking of driving people into the dirt, this week the Tide continues to work on its six offensive lineman set. The personnel is as used against Ole Miss, Jonah Williams moves to right tackle and Matt Womack slides to a tight end while Jedrick Wills takes over left tackle (or Jonah stays put and Wills works at right tackle.)

Current Injuries
One offensive lineman has been hobbled for the first two practices this week. Brad Bozeman has seen limited work. There have no details released about an injury but Brandon Kennedy has been working at center with the first group.
Tony Brown is also a bit banged up from the Ole Miss game. The other injuries are well documented. Trevon Diggs has an ankle problem and is day-to-day. Da’Shawn Hand is not officially out against the Aggies but an MCL strain or sprain will likely cause him to miss two or three games.
Miller Forristall is out for the season. There has been chatter that Terrell Lewis and perhaps Christian Miller could return for CFB Playoff games.
The scout team looks are interesting this week. Tide RB Brian Robinson has taken the TAMU Trayveon Williams role and Chadarius Townsend is working as the explosive, do-everything for TAMU, Christian Kirk.
One more item of note. Last week’s SEC Defensive Player of the Week, Levi Wallace appears almost stoic about his success this season. As reported by Bama Insider, Levi said
"“I really don’t look back at it, (his progression from walk-on to starter). My mom says I’m sometimes too casual about things. I just try to move forward and focus on the next challenge ahead of me.”"
ICYMI check out the Walk-on Dreams Come True profile we did on Levi this summer. It is quite a story about a young man from Arizona with no FBS offers, following his father’s love for Alabama football.
