It wasn’t as clean a win or as dominating a victory as recent Alabama football games. Fans (and Saban) were disappointed in the effort despite the win over Texas A&M by eight. Check out the Twitter hot takes.
Alabama football won 27-19. It would have been 34-19 if Alabama’s recovered onside kick made it into the end zone (almost did). Despite that, the eight-point effort doesn’t quite explain what happened to Alabama late in the game. Up 24-3, Alabama had it well in hand. Things fell apart in the second half for Alabama. Fans and coach Nick Saban were not happy with the effort, after outscoring their last two opponents 125-3.
There were some good tweets, some bad tweets and some weird ones. We took the best out of the bunch and laid them out here for your enjoyment.
ALABAMA IS TRAILING IN A GAME. I REPEAT ALABAMA IS TRAILING IN A GAME BATTEN THE HATCHES.

BREAKING: Alabama
— Team Speed Kills (@TeamSpeedKills) October 7, 2017
It didn’t look goo early. Alabama stalled on offense and Texas A&M responded with a field goal. That whole lead evaporated in 3…2…1…
Alabama no longer trails.

Isaiah Buggs is already at five total tackles. His season high was four against Colorado State
— Cody Estremera (@cestremera33) October 8, 2017
Isaiah Buggs and Raekwon Davis combined for 18 tackles and a sack. Alabama also got sacks from young guys LaBryan Ray and Quinnen Williams https://t.co/z401M8K1sS

Isaiah Buggs had himself a game yesterday in the absence of DaShawn Hand. He had 10 total tackles, 6 of them solo. Great game from him and Alabama football is going to need him going forward.
And now a few other random tweets from the game:
This tweet hits a tad too close to some hard truth. Alabama football fans have good reason to be concerned about the offensive line performance.

Tweets that were passable by our standards, unlike LSU against a broken Florida team.
Tough day for big name schools:

Michigan State 14, Michigan 10
Bye Week 45, Tennessee 17
Even the Bye Week doesn’t help Tennessee look any less like trash.

Next: Saban on 'not finishing' and 'rat poison'
Alabama football will be looking to make a finishing statement against Arkansas. The Razorbacks are struggling and heading to Tuscaloosa to face a frustrated Nick Saban is a nightmare for Bret Bielema.
