6. Ohio State (6-1)

The Buckeyes are probably the most overrated team in the Top 10. Yes, Ohio State is a solid 6-1, but the one loss has been against a ranked opponent and wasn’t even close. Now, their schedule is backloaded with Michigan State, Penn State and, of course, Michigan. Needless to say, it doesn’t seem like Ohio State will be making it through their schedule, much less the B1G title.

But, if Ohio State was to make it into the playoff, they would struggle mightily against the defense of Alabama. QB J.T. Barrett would probably be found lying in the grass more than standing up. Ohio State should be the least of Alabama’s worries in the top 10.

5. Wisconsin (7-0)

A dark horse in the B1G, Wisconsin has done everything they need to do to be successful. That is, however, everything except actually play a big opponent. Yes, Wisconsin is the cream of the crop in the inferior Big 10 West. Yet, they haven’t played a ranked team to this point and may not until the postseason. Unless they collapse massively, they will make the Big 10 Championship game.

They did struggle a bit with Purdue (only an eight-point margin). Simply because of that and because they haven’t played anyone, there are a lot of unknowns with this team. That can scare a team like Alabama. Never underestimate an underdog that hasn’t proven itself.
