Alabama Football: Verbal commitments for the 2019 recruiting class

Alabama football is rapidly advancing to a No. 1 recruiting class in 2019. Check the current list of Crimson Tide verbal commits.

It may be hard for Alabama football fans to comprehend but after five national championships in nine seasons, Nick Saban still has a passion for recruiting. What is different about the pursuit of the 2019 recruiting class is Nick Saban has a young and hungry staff matching the boss’s passion.

Alabama football signed 13 players last December. Look for that number to be 18-22 in the December Early Signing Period. Alabama football is expected to sign a total at least 28 players in the 2019 class.

Current 2019 Verbal Commits

All player ratings are from the 247Sports Composite. List of 24 commits updated Dec. 8.

NEWEST COMMITS: Daxton Hill – S, 5-Star, No. 1 Safety and No. 8 player overall AND Jeffery Carter – CB, 4-Star, No. 91 player overall.

Hill is a flip from Michigan. Carter is a flip from TAMU.

Christian Harris – ILB, 4-Star, No. 9 ILB in the nation.

Harris is a flip from TAMU. He is also a pull from the heart of LSU country, University school in Baton Rouge, LA. The Tide will still work to close Nakobe Dean but Harris was a highly valued priority for the Tide staff.

Braylen Ingraham – Defensive End, 4-Star, No. 16 DE in the nation

Darrian Dalcourt – Offensive Guard, 4-Star, No. 19 OG overall

John Metchie – Wide Receiver, 4-Star, No. 41 wide receiver overall

Jahleel Billingsley – Tight End, 4-Star, No. 11 tight end overall.

Byron Young – Defensive End, 4-Star, No. 6 SDE and No. 88 overall.

Keilan Robinson – Running back, 4-Star, No. 19 RB and No. 355 player overall.

Justin Eboigbe – SDE, 4-Star, No. 5 SDE and No. 70 overall.

DeMarcco Hellams – Safety, 4-Star, No. 6 S and No. 93 player overall.

Will Reichard – Kicker; 3-Star, No. 2 kicker in the nation.

Antonio Alfano – Defensive End; 5-Star, No. 3 SDE and No. 28 player overall in the nation.

DJ Dale – Defensive Tackle; 4-Star, No. 15 DT and No. 248 player overall in the nation.

Pierce Quick – Offensive Tackle;  5-Star, No. 6 Offensive tackle and No. 35 player overall in the nation

Amari Kight – Offensive tackle; 4-Star, No. 8 rated OT and the No. 52 player overall in the nation

King Mwikuta – Outside Linebacker; 4-Star, No. 6 rated OLB and No. 123 player overall in the nation.

Shane Lee – Inside Linebacker; 4-Star, No. 5 rated ILB and the No. 68 player overall in the nation

Brandon Turnage – Athlete; 4-Star, No. 12 ATH and No. 113 overall player in the nation

Taulia Tagovailoa – Pro-style Quarterback; 4-Star, No. 5 Pro-style QB and No. 149 player overall

Paul Tyson – Pro-style Quarterback; 4-Star, No. 8 Pro-style QB and No. 255 player overall

Christian Williams – Cornerback; 4-Star, No. 11 Cornerback and No. 106 overall

Kevin Harris – Weakside defensive end; 4-Star, No. 65rated WDE and No. 107 player overall

Tanner Bowles – Offensive line; 4-Star, No. 17 OT and No. 289 player overall
