Coach Nick Saban and his Alabama Football staff are combing the country for top talent, and are looking to sign the number one class of 2019.

Last February’s national signing day saw Alabama Football finish with the number 7 class. After picking up the top ranked, MLB for 2018, Brandon Kaho, who originally signed with the Washington Huskies, Alabama rose two spots to finish No. 5 nationally in the 247Sports Composite, Team Rankings. While a top five class would be absolutely welcomed by almost any other team, in Tuscaloosa, it is just not good enough.

No other school in the history of college football has ever dominated the recruiting scene the way Alabama has during Coach Nick Saban’s tenure. Last year proved to be a bit of a different story. After losing several assistants at the conclusion of last season, Nick Saban, determined to not repeat the 2018 performance, hired one of the best recruiting staffs in all of college football. Guys like Karl Scott, Pete Golding, Jeff Banks, Dan Enos, and Josh Gattis are already lighting the recruiting trail on fire.

Coach Nick Saban and staff are currently locked into a battle for the top spot with last year’s recruiting champion, the Georgia Bulldogs. With 21 commitments so far for 2019, Alabama will likely add another five to six players to close out the class. Some of Alabama’s biggest targets are still uncommitted.

Industry experts expect several 5-star players to commit to and sign with UA.

According to most recruiting analysts, Alabama is in position to finish incredibly strong. Personally, I believe Alabama signs at least three to four more 5-stars and will have a couple of their current commits that will earn a fifth star sometime between now and February. Here are the five recruits I think sign with Alabama.

First and of utmost importance, Nakobe Dean, 5-star  MLB out of Horn Mississippi. Bama needs bodies at MLB and Nakobe is the best of the best. Next, at another position of great need, Ishmael Sopsher. The 5-star defensive lineman out of Louisiana will hopefully ignore the pressure to stay in state and provide Bama with another elite talent at defensive tackle. Alabama is also eyeing the nation’s top DB in Daxton Hill, the number one center in Clay Webb, and 5-star offensive tackle Evan Neal.
