    Via RollTide.com:

Overall: Alabama leads the series 8-0

"The most recent meeting was Alabama’s lone trip to Lafayette, LA., where the Tide came away with a 25-6 victory on Oct. 6, 1990, when Louisiana was known as Southwestern Louisiana."

Ragin’ Cajuns head coach, Billy Napier is in his first season as a head coach. Napier spent five seasons on the Alabama Crimson Tide staff, one year as an offensive analyst and four seasons as a wide receivers coach.

Napier’s coaching career, much like Nick Saban, developed its foundations through his father. Earlier this week, Bama Hammer reviewed the bond shared by Napier and Saban that goes beyond coaching for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Napier learned much in Tuscaloosa. He is trying to replicate as much as possible of Nick Saban’s Process in Lafayette, LA. Napier has made one change. Rather than Process, Napier calls his program The Journey.

    Louisana Ragin’ Cajuns

The Cajuns are not without some firepower. The Louisiana senior quarterback, Andre Nunez is No. 8 in the FBS in passing completion at 72.3 percent. The Ragin’ Cajuns have also been quite efficient in the red zone this season with 10 touchdowns from 10 red zone possessions.

In one game this season against an SEC team, the Ragin’ Cajuns were steamrolled by Mississippi State 56-10.

    What to expect

Nick Saban will not want to run up the score against Napier and the Cajuns. He will look to get some backup players more game experience.

The Alabama Crimson Tide returns to SEC play next weekend. The Tide travels to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks.
