Overall: Alabama leads the series 18-8

"Alabama and Arkansas will meet for the 29th time on Saturday. The CrimsonTide leads the all-time series, 18-8 (after vacations and forfeits), and won last year’s meeting,41-9, in Tuscaloosa. Alabama has won the last 11 meetings between the two schools."

Saturday will be a test between the explosive Alabama Crimson Tide offense and what Arkansas fans hope to be a rejuvenated Arkansas defense under Hogs’ DC, John Chavis.

The Crimson Tide should be relatively healthy, though left tackle Jonah Williams has been considered day-to-day after an ankle injury last week.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas is off to a weak start under new head coach, Chad Morris. The offensive has struggled to adapt with Bret Bielema’s recruits trying to learn and execute the new spread oriented, fastball system utilized by Morris.

Razorback fans were encouraged by the Hogs’ close loss to TAMU last week. Chavis’ defense showed some toughness not seen in earlier games.

What to expect

Arkansas will try to challenge the Crimson Tide secondary under what will likely be consistent pressure on its quarterback. Even if the Hogs can find a way to slow the Alabama Crimson Tide offense, it will need more offensive production than was achieved against Auburn and TAMU.

The Alabama Crimson Tide should post its sixth win of the season on Saturday.
