Alabama Football: Week nine key games for Crimson Tide fans

After Ohio State’s fall from grace last week, Clemson is now the media’s darling to dismantle Alabama.
The Tigers are the only team in the country to have both their offense (ninth) and defense (fourth) rank in the top ten. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence is living up to the hype since returning from injury against Syracuse. Kelly Bryant’s replacement gives Clemson a dangerous passing attack that mimics Alabama. Receivers Tee Higgins and Hunter Renfrow are great receiving threats. Sophomore running back Travis Etienne’s fantastic season so far (800 yds rushing,14 TDs) has thrust him into the conversation for the Heisman Trophy.
The Tigers defense is fourth in the country allowing 266 yards per contest. The marvelous defensive line of Dexter Lawrence, Christian Wilkins, Austin Bryant, and Clelin Ferrell are disruptive versus the run and pass.
Florida State came into the season with high expectations and thus been an utter disappointment. Head coach Willie Taggert is in the middle of turning a tanker. There is talent aplenty on the Seminoles, but the product on the field seemed as though Jimbo left the cupboard barren.
Quarterback Deondre Francois and running back Cam Akers are pointing the offense in the right direction. The offensive line is gradually improving week to week. The Seminoles defense is playing well, witnessed by their nine tackles for loss and sick sacks against Wake Forest.
Even though Clemson will play at the celebrated Doak Campbell Stadium, Florida State is not on the same level as the Tigers. Expect a bloodbath. A Lawrence and Etienne offensive onslaught is a tad much for a defense allowing 371 yards a game.
