Kentucky at Missouri

For Kentucky to control its own destiny in the SEC East they must be able to put away the Missouri Tigers before facing the Georgia Bulldogs next week. However, that task is easier said than done. Wildcat QB Terry Wilson struggled mightily versus Vanderbilt last week only completing three of nine passes for a total of 18 yards. He cannot have a repeat performance against the Tigers in hopes of securing a victory.

For Missouri, QB Drew Lock faces an extremely tough test in the defensive front from the Wildcats. Against a similar defensive front in the Alabama game, Lock was able to find success for only one drive. Against the Wildcats, Lock will be pressed to score more in order to offset the offense of Kentucky led by RB Benny Snell Jr.

Missouri is given an advantage with a home game against Kentucky; however, I believe that Kentucky will prevail in the end to set up a showdown in bluegrass country next week versus Georgia.

Georgia vs. Florida in Jacksonville, FL

They don’t call it the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” anymore, but you can be sure there will be libations consumed from both teams regardless of the outcome.

This game tends to define who wins the East every year. This year, however, it’s got a new wrinkle with Kentucky in the mix. If Kentucky beats Missouri, that makes Kentucky/Georgia the virtual decision game on who leads and could represent the East. Kentucky controls their own destiny, at this stage, which is absolutely wild to think.

For this game, it’s do or die for either team. Both have an SEC loss and cannot afford to lose another one. Florida has a fairly balanced team on both sides of the ball while Georgia has been suspect on offense, especially after LSU. Look for this game to be close. I’m calling for a Gator upset of Georgia.
