Alabama football enters the demanding part of its schedule in November. Expect head coach Nick Saban to ensure the team is mentally prepared and laser-focused on finishing the regular season on a high note.
Alabama football is primed to run the tables as Nick Saban has assembled his most exceptional team yet at the Capstone. The initial College Football Playoff rankings have the Crimson Tide ranked number one, followed by Clemson, LSU, and Notre Dame.
The path to an eighteenth title for Alabama football will not be effortless. However, the man who commandeers the charge is the best in the business on ensuring his team does not resort to complacency on the playing field.
Mark Ingram delivered the university its first Heisman Trophy winner in 2009. Six years later, Derrick Henry hoisted the trophy. Both were bruising running backs from the old Nick Saban school of playing football. Sensational quarterback Tua Tagovailoa could become Saban’s first quarterback to win the coveted award. The lefty quarterback has 2,066 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and ZERO interceptions. Just Tua lining up under center gives Michael Locksley’s offense a remarkable dimension never observed in Tuscaloosa.
There are a lot of burning questions requiring answers in November. How well does Tua handle the pressure against LSU in Death Valley at night? My first response is that the lights are never too bright for this young man. He emerged out of the womb desiring to become a quarterback. Tua’s emotions never waver so it will be hard for opponents to draw his ire.
The Crimson Tide held the number one ranking all last year until it set foot in Jordan Hare and succumbed to defeat. Can the Tide hold off its state rival and continue its march to its fifth College Football Playoff?
