The big rematch between Alabama football and Georgia is hours away. Check out detailed game predictions from the Bama Hammer staff.

Alabama football fans, we are letting you know upfront, this is no ‘homer’ post. We are all Crimson Tide fans but with our Bama Hammer hats on, we have an obligation to provide our readers with solid information and unvarnished opinions.

If you clicked on this post expecting a universal opinion of the Crimson Tide coasting to a SEC Championship, you may be disappointed. Most of us are expecting Georgia to play its best game of the season. And not all of us are confident the odds-makers have a nearly two-touchdown Crimson Tide advantage correct.

All Alabama football fans can offer their own predictions. We hope ours will provide some added perspective.

Hold on to your seats, ladies and gentleman. We are about to witness a western shootout. On one side we have the young, tough, and gritty Doc Holiday (Georgia). And, on the other side, we have the strong, wise, and powerful Wyatt Earp (Alabama). Expect it to get ugly.

All kidding aside, this game should be just as memorable as last season’s National Championship feud between these two. I am expecting a full blown offensive showdown, but I am holding on to hope that Alabama’s promising defense steps up to lead the Tide to victory.

I am predicting that the Crimson Tide’s defense seals the deal late in the 4th quarter. The Tide stays No. 1 and rolls on to the Playoffs.

Game Prediction: Alabama 34 – Georgia 30
