Alabama football has some important official visits this weekend but many of the top Crimson Tide targets are visiting other schools.

It will be a busy weekend in Tuscaloosa because so many Alabama football commits are visiting. The weekend also includes a few important targets, either looking for an offer or committed to other schools. But many of the remaining, top priority, targets for the Crimson Tide are visiting elsewhere this weekend.

One committed player the Alabama football staff would like to lock down this weekend is TAMU commit, Jeffery Carter. Carter is a Top 100, 4-Star recruit considered one of the top defensive back prospects in the nation. He is from Texas and pulling him away from the Aggies will not be easy. Oklahoma is another top school working hard to flip Carter. He is expected to sign early.

The Crimson Tide will also host 3-Star running back DJ Williams. Williams is drawing a lot of late interest from schools. He is currently committed to Appalachian State. Williams does not yet have a Tide offer. Both he and 4-Star RB, Deondrick Glass must be considered fallback options if Trey Sanders does not sign with Alabama football. It is not that Williams and Glass are not valued. If Sanders comes on board, there may be no room in the class for either of them.

Current Tide commit, 4-Star RB, Keilan Robinson is also expected in Tuscaloosa. Robinson was recruited by Mike Locksley. There has been speculation he might be interested in staying closer to home and Joining Locksley at Maryland. If Robinson and the Alabama football staff decide to part ways, it would open up a much-needed slot in the crowded class.

Mississippi State commit, Nathan Pickering had been expected this weekend. Pickering has changed his visit plans to January.

Alabama football fans cannot help but be concerned so many priority Crimson Tide prospects are visiting other schools. The list below shows who is visiting where. None of the visits mean another school is suddenly in the lead for any of the prospects but …

  • Trey Sanders – 5-Star RB – visiting Georgia
  • Kayvon Thibodeaux – 5-Star DE – visiting Florida
  • Evan Neal – 5-Star OL – visiting Georgia
  • Marcus Banks – 4-Star CB – visiting Florida
  • Nola Pola Gates – 4-Star CB – visiting Southern Cal
  • Nakobe Dean – 5-Star LB – visiting LSU

Also, Crimson Tide commit, 4-Star DE, Justin Eboigbe is visiting Miami this weekend. Eboigbe has recently stated he is solid to the Crimson Tide.
