Former Alabama football players and Crimson Tide fans are asking where, when and how many in the 2019 NFL Draft. Check out a final projection.

Thursday through Saturday will be another Alabama football NFL Draft bonanza. The No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft should be and could be Quinnen Williams. There could be as many as 11 former Alabama football players drafted. Up to four of them could be chosen in the first round.

Sometimes, fans forget NFL teams make Draft decisions based on need more than choosing the best available player. The Arizona Cardinals, for example, may believe the most important need is a new quarterback. If so, Kyler Murray becomes the No. 1 pick. That decision would mean the Cardinals would pass on Quinnen Williams who most Draft experts rate as the top-graded player in this year’s Draft.

Speaking of draft grades, check out how Draft Wire graded former Alabama football players earlier this week.

First Round Grades

  • No. 1 Quinnen Williams
  • No. 7 Jonah Williams

Kyler Murray was rated as No. 6.

Second Round Grades

  • No. 34 Josh Jacobs
  • No. 41 Mack Wilson
  • No. 48 Irv Smith
  • No. 50 Deionte Thompson

Third Round Grades

  • No. 74 Damien Harris

Fourth Round Grades

  • No. 105 Christian Miller
  • No. 106 Ross Piersbacher

Fifth Round Grades

  • No. 150 Isaiah Buggs
  • No. 169 Saivion Smith

Alabama football fans may find it interesting where a couple of other players are rated. Former Auburn quarterback, Jarrett Stidham is at No. 170 and Tide nemesis, Hunter Renfrow is No. 228 in the sixth round.

Predictions for former Alabama Football Players

After looking through mock drafts by more than a dozen credible sources, we offer our best guess of what will unfold in Nashville.

  • Quinnen Williams – Q will be drafted between the No. 1 and No. 4 slots. Arizona should take him at No.1 but will probably opt for Murray. He could easily go to either the 49ers or Jets at No. 2 and No. 3. Most of the experts are thinking it will be the Raiders at No. 4 for Quinnen.

  • Jonah Williams – The ridiculous consternation over Jonah’s arm length has finally faded. He could be chosen as high as No. 6 by the Giants or maybe slide as low as No. 12 to Green Bay. The most popular pick is No. 8 to the Lions.
  • Josh Jacobs – Josh could be the first running back selected and still slide into the top of the second round. Most projections have Jacobs selected somewhere in the low twenties to the Raiders.
  • Irv Smith – There is no consensus on Irv, other than he will be chosen in either the first or second round.
  • Mack Wilson – Mack appears to be in the late second round range. He could possibly slide to early in the third round.
  • Deionte Thompson – Deionte looks like an early third round selection.
  • Damien Harris – Solid third round pick.
  • Christian Miller – Third or fourth round most likely.
  • Isaiah Buggs – Isaiah could be chosen as high as the third round or somewhere in the fourth or early fifth round.
  • Ross Piersbacher – Anywhere from fifth round to undrafted.
  • Saivion Smith – Anywhere from sixth round to undrafted.
