The pace Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats and his staff are making offers is dizzying. Check out the elite talent offered for the 2020 class.

If you are having trouble keeping up with the pace of offers by new Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats – you are not alone. The torrent of recent offers is impressive. More impressive is how many of the offers are going to elite players.

Anthony Grant and Avery Johnson made offers to nationally known 5-Star recruits as well. Neither did so at the pace of Nate Oats. Oats has been particularly active in the far west, but the offers are going to players all around the country.

To put it mildly, Oats is not bashful. Like every other coach in America, Oats wants 2020, 5-Star, PG, Daishan Nix. Nix is considered the No. 1 PG prospect in the 2020 class and is undoubtedly one of the top twenty players in the nation. Highly skilled guards like Nix like the open space and fast pace of the Oats offensive scheme.

Another PG, high on the Crimson Tide wish list is 4-Star, Devian Smith. Smith received an Alabama basketball offer back in February and Nate Oats quickly embraced the decision soon after relocating south. Smith is no contingency plan if Nix goes elsewhere. There is a need for both in Oats’ four and five-out offensive sets.

Another recent offer went to 5-Star, small forward, MarJon Beauchamp from Seattle, WA. Beauchamp is viewed as one of the top 25 players in the 2020 class. He is already planning a visit to Tuscaloosa.

For anyone wondering to what extent Collin Sexton changed the image of Alabama basketball, check out the tweets below from two recruits.

2020 Alabama Basketball Offers

Nate Oats has to battle many of the top college coaches in the nation to sign these players. A Kentucky, Kansas, or a Duke might swoop in and nab some of them. But Nate Oats only needs to get a couple to push the Crimson Tide forward quickly.

Arizona may not be much competition for the west coast guys on Nate Oats’ list. ESPN reported on Saturday the NCAA has an ongoing investigation into Sean Miller and the Wildcats program. How soon will LSU and Will Wade also be under NCAA formal investigation?
