With no disrespect intended to any of the bottom four – except for the Vols, of course, this page will be short and not sweet.

No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels – 22 points (last week 24 points)

Ole Miss won against an over-matched team Saturday. What faces them in the coming weeks will destroy any football joy in Oxford, MS. That is a shame. Oxford and the Ole Miss campus is a lovely place. If they do not beat California this week, five wins is very doubtful.

Matt Luke does not deserve his Ole Miss future. The big question is will either Mike MacIntyre or Rich Rodriquez have any interest in replacing Luke after this season.

No. 12 Arkansas Razorbacks – 21 points (last week 17 points)

Maybe there is reason for hope in Fayetteville. At least the Hogs won a football game against a Group of Five opponent. How many more wins can Chad Morris find this season? They can beat San Jose State this week. After that, maybe one or two more wins. In fairness to Morris, re-tooling the offensive roster from Bielma- style, power football players was always going to take time.

No. 13 Vanderbilt Commodores – 12 points (last week 17 points)

The Dores are in trouble. Such is their fate in the SEC. Next, the Bengal Tigers come to Nashville. Derek Mason deserves better than this. Vanderbilt fans deserve better than this. There is nothing any of them can do about it.

No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers – 7 points (last week 6 points)

The big question we have is will Jeremy Pruitt still be around when Vanderbilt comes to Knoxville at the end of November. The head coach loser of that game may not survive. We all know Phil Fulmer will try to weasel his way back to the field even before that last regular season game.
