No. 2 Auburn Tigers – 74 points (last week 66 points)

The Barners looked pretty darn good against Mississippi State on Saturday. Auburn football’s defensive front continues to smother offensive lines and Bo Nix (16 of 21, 335 yards and two TDs) is getting more and more comfortable in the pocket with each game. This doesn’t look like a normal Gus Malzahn chaos team that gets better as the season progresses. This Tigers team looks like a legit contender five games in.

It looked so easy for the offense to continuously move up and down the field on the Bulldogs, you wonder if the good defenses can stop them. Nothing’s for certain, but it’s difficult to find a team (including their week six opponent) that will be able to hang with them until their game against later next month. This is probably Gus’ most complete team yet and with UGA and ‘Bama going to Jordan-Hare, they may just win the conference.

The Tigers’ travel to Gainesville to take on the Gators this Saturday.

No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs – 74 points (last week 76 points)

Georgia football was off this past weekend. The Bulldogs travel to Knoxville to take on the Vols this Saturday. Alabama football fans having any sympathy for Jeremy Pruitt might not want to tune in to this game.

No. 4 LSU Bengal Tigers – 69 points (last week 74 points)

LSU football was off this past weekend. The Bengal Tigers host Utah State this Saturday. Alabama football fans probably noticed the Vanderbilt team that scored 38 points on LSU last week, managed only 24 points against Northern Illinois. The Dores did get a first win for the season.
