Mac Jones
The dreaded sight of Heisman front runner Tua Tagovailoa heading to the medical team versus the Vols, and then hopping in the back of an ambulance, many saw the Crimson Tide championship hopes dashed as the ambulance disappeared in the night. As fans wished for Tua to swiftly regain his health, his backup was in the lab, preparing for his moment.
Redshirt sophomore Mac Jones had the composure of a grizzled vet in his first start. He dinked and dunked, threw horizontally until finally, he connected on a 40 yard shot to a streaking Jerry Jeudy. Jones finished the game 18 of 22 passing for 235 yards and three touchdowns.
If Tua is unable to go in two weeks, the team is still in capable hands with Jones.
Najee Harris
After a slow start to the season, Harris is playing on cheat mode in the last five games. He has run for 486 yards, four touchdowns, and 6.3 yards per carry.
Before leaving with a twisted ankle on the first play of the third quarter, Najee had 13 carries for 86 yards and two scores.
Week after week, the Roger Craig clone proves he is the bell cow at running back that the offense needs to complement the dynamic passing attack.
Jerry Jeudy
The standout wide receiver hauled in seven reception for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Jeudy’s veteran savvy and craftiness gave Mac Jones a dependable security blanket.
